From Professor Marks:

Subject: Would you do me a favor and go see a movie?

Dear Friends,

Would you do me a favor and go see a movie on Friday,
April 18 or that weekend?  And take some friends?  Here’s why.

I got into trouble.  It’s been a fifth page story, but I got
crossways with my university by daring to imply nature
exhibited evidence of divine design.  Baylor sent back
one of my grants and shut down one of my web sites.
One summary of what happened is in Townhall Magazine
HERE.  A lot more than you’ll ever want to know is
HERE.  I hired a lawyer to fight the Baylor administration
and the conflict wasn’t pretty.  I was afraid I would lose
my job – but tenure is a rough nut to crack.

So now I’m one of a handful of profs featured in a documentary
called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.  If you would, take a
look at the trailers on the web site.  They are a kick!
But serious too. These professors have suffered because
they dared question Darwinism.  Expelled opens on over
a thousand screens in theaters across the US on April 18th.
Just like a Harrison Ford movie.

The film is endorsed by James Dobson (Focus on the Family),
Chuck Colson, Lee Strobel, and Evangelist Luis Palau.  The
movie “blew Rush Limbaugh away”.  Here is the Rush audio.
Here is an internet endorsement by presidential candidate Mike
Huckabee.  I’ve seen a prescreening of the movie - and it is
powerful.

I’m honored to be in the film, but the issue is a lot bigger than
me.  There is a movement in Academia to tell the world
you can’t believe in God if you’re smart. It has even leached
into Baylor which claims to be Christian.  I’m hoping for a big
opening weekend box office so there will be lots of buzz.

If you can go see the movie, I’d love to hear what you think.

Blessings!

S/Bob Marks

You sure this is true? Isn’t Baylor a Baptist University?
